The Dive 470 is a tunnel hull fully inflatable 11-man capacity landing
craft. It is capable of being assembled, launched and operated by two crew. Gemini’s
experience gained from racing inflatables is reflected in the hull design of this fast
workboat. True tunnel hull performance with a huge payload capacity and super fuel
economy.
The main flotation tube is separated into five compartments, each with it’s own heavy
duty inflation valve. This tube has an extra large diameter 55 cm (1'10") for
increased rigidity, additional lift and a working payload of more than a ton. The large
hijackers are double skinned and protected with 300 mm wide PVC scuff strip. A 100 mm
rubbing strake surrounds the boat deflecting spray and protecting the pontoons, additional
scuff protection can be installed if needed.
The Dive 470’s
heavy-duty 50 mm (2") marine ply transom is designed and engineered to withstand
tough military and rescue operating conditions. It is secured to the pontoons with extra
gussets and is easily capable of supporting a 70 HP outboard.
The Dive 470’s
floor-boards are made of mahogany 16 mm marine-ply coated with a durable non-skid enamel.
Optional honeycomb aluminum floorboards with checkerplate surface are available up to 30
mm (1¼") thick. Heavy duty hardwood stringers are used to secure the floorboards
together forming a very solid deck suitable for commercial work or for the mounting of
consoles and equipment racks.
The Dive 470 is available in
PVC or Hypalon dtx 1,100, for those that require more durability a Hypalon dtx 1,670 and a
dtx 1,870 are also available. If abrasion and tear resistance is of utmost importance a
double skinned PVC model can be made.
Towing rings, carrying handles, D-rings,
tool bags, footstraps and lashing points can be suited to suit a clients desired
requirements.
