The Gemini Surf range
features the same tunnel hull catamaran design as the Gemini
Sprint and Surf GT, the most successful racing inflatables in the world.
It is designed to carry a large payload with outstanding tunnel hull performance. The
Surf glides over chop with ease delivering a smooth comfortable ride and complete
confidence in the roughest seas. The catamaran configuration ensures that the boat can
turn on the spot without any heeling, bouncing or skidding. |

The Surf is a very dry boat in which
to ride thanks to an underfloor drain into the tunnel, a drain cock in the transom and two
large one way drain socks which make the craft self bailing. There are two sets of
anti-spray strakes; one at the origin of the spray on the side of the hijacker panel, the
other in the middle of the main tube which extends round the entire craft collecting any
residual water. In the interest of safety, the boat has three main air compartments and
two large double skinned hijackers with a 20 cm (8") PVC scuff strip on the bottom. |
| There is no keel, thereby reducing drag, preventing
chafing and making the boat lighter and easier to assemble. Both models have a transom and
floorboards made of mahogany marine ply. The transom is easily capable of handling a 50 HP
motor in the most severe conditions, though the Gemini Surf needs very little power for
thrilling performance and a 30 HP is plenty for water skiing or carrying a full load of
divers. |

The Gemini Surf comes in two models, the 4 meter
Surf GT and the 4.2 meter Surf 420, available in two styles of fabric,
Hypalon or PVC, single or multi-skinned in a wide range of colors. Both models can be made
wider by 15 cm (6") to give even more interior room, buoyancy and stability. For
those that want the ultimate in durability the Surf can be double skinned in PVC, this is a process whereby the
pontoons are completely covered with a second layer of fabric before the boat is
assembled, creating a virtually puncture proof boat. |
The West Coast Edition is specially made for the rugged B.C. coast. This is without a doubt the
most durable fully inflatable boat on the market today. It starts as a wide version PVC
Surf with extra-large hijackers, then the entire boat is double skinned and the hijackers
triple skinned and covered with 30 cm (12") of scuff protection. |
The Surf is simply the ideal craft for any activity such as; surf rescue,
diving, water skiing, fishing or just recreational/fun boating.
